The moment that Dallas came into the property to bid the project, I knew that we had stumbled upon the real deal. He KNEW his stuff, he offered suggestions and asked all the right questions including the ones that I didn’t know existed. He even offered suggestions and loaned a tool to us that aided in one of our other projects. No other contractor in my history of remodels has EVER lent a tool to a perfect stranger. In an attempt to save some money, my husband and I did some of the demo work, but the subs that were hired to complete that portion were courteous, professional and knew what they were doing…In hind site, we should have just let them do it all. Dallas’ son Charles is actually who did the majority of the install and detail work. I can not say enough about this man. His dedication, attention to detail, kindness and giving spirit was a highlight throughout a very stressful time in our lives. The little unexpected things made all the difference. He custom made a security block for the slider with a handle stained the same as the floor, he crafted shoe around the center island in the kitchen that is truly a work of art, the inlay around the fireplace hearth, the cleaning kit that he left when the job was completed and last but not least, and had absolutely nothing to do with the “job”. His beautiful fiance’ made a home made cheesecake and surprised us with it when we came to the project just after memorial day. Now, this may seem pretty cool, but there’s more. My husband is in the military and he was about to be deployed. The note that was placed on the cake was for him and honoring his service to our country. It brought us to tears and is one of those things that just truly tells volumes about the integrity and spirit of this whole family. If you are thinking about hardwood flooring, you don’t need to shop around, just call Charles or Dallas and you can not go wrong.
